Richard E. Schiess, Age 70 of Portage, passed away Thursday, May 6, 1993. A Portage resident since 1984, formerly of Hobart. A member of US Steelworkers Local #1066, Gary Masonic Lodge #677 F. & A. M., a US Army Air Force Veteran of World War II.
Suvivors: 1 daughter, Patricia (Todd) Crawford of Portage; 1 son, Terry (Judy) Schiess of Hobart; 4 grandchildren, Carolyn and Craig Schiess; Kevin and Matthew Crawford; 1 great-granddaughter, Ronie Marie Sick; 2 brothers, George (June) Schiess of Park Falls, Wisc.; Dr. Jim Schiess of Newport News, Ba.; preceded in death by wife Mildred (Roades) Schiess in 1992.
Gary Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service Friday at 7:30 p, Funeral services Saturday, May 8, 1993 at 1 pm at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Rev. Craig A.
