Merrillville - Helen Mae Poore, 74 of Merrillville, passed away in her home Sunday, June 25 2000.
Helen Mae was a former employee of Mike's Sporting Goods, Merrillville. She was preceded in death by husband, Earl L. Poore and son, Stymie Poore. She is survived by her nieces, Sharon Roehm of DeMotte, Jan (Bill) Pool of Chesterton, Patricia (Bob) Nelson of Chesterton, Susie (Matt) Ard of Portage; dear friend, Jackie Blank of Crown Point; brother-in-law, Bill (Shirley) McKinney of Lake Station; nephew, Dennis (Fran) Driscoll of Bollingbrook, IL; step-brother, Len Ols of Hobart; great nieces, Sheryl (Toney) Elston, Susan Ahrens, Eileen Driscoll, Maureen Driscoll, Colleen Driscoll; great nephews: Edward (Joyce) Roehm, Jr., Joshua Pool, Jared Pool, Steven (Lynn) Ahrens, Scott (Jennifer) Ahrens; great-great-nieces, Morgan Bell, Alyssa Roehm, Brandy Ahrens, and Breana Driscoll; great-great-nephews, Cameron Bell, Christian Roehm, Kevin Ard, and William Ahrens.
Funeral services Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at 11 a. m. from the Burns Funeral Home, (corner of 101st and Broadway) Merrillville/Crown Point Chapel, Rev. Randy Scott officiating. Services will terminate at the funeral home with cremation following at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory. Friends may call at the Burns Funeral Home, Merrillville/Crown Point Chapel onTuesday from 2 to 8 p. m. Contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Merrillville.
