Kimberly (Kim) Kochan (Risher) - Class Of 1983

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, AUGUST 30, 2000:
 
Kimberly A. "Kim" Risher (nee Kochan), 35, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2000 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, as the result of an accident. Kim was a lifelong Hobart resident and a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1983. She was formerly employed at Indiana-American Water Company for 13 years. Kim was a black belt in karate and member of Rudy Pavletich Karate School in Hobart, and a member of the American Karate Association. She loved the outdoors and was a sun worshiper and enjoyed beach activities.
 
She is survived by her husband, Dru Risher, son, Eric Leonard and daughter, Jamie Leonard, both at home; parents, Ronald and Sharron Kochan of Hobart; brother, Gary (Melody) Kochan of Hobart; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Vivian Risher of Portage, IN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 31, 2000, 9:30 a.m. prayers at the Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN, and 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption B.V.M. Church with Rev. Martin J. Dobrzynski celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation is Wednesday, August 30th, from 2 to 9 p.m., with a liturgical prayer service at 3 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
