John Rayter - Class Of 1983

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES WEBSITE:

John M. Rayter, age 43, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus. John was an Indiana resident for 18 years and then attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs where he received his B.S. Degree in Behavioral Science. He also attained a Masters Degree from Arizona State University in Industrial Engineering. John was an accomplished Air Force Pilot flying the A-10A Aircraft with the 74th Tactical Fighter Squardron and Chief of Combat Readiness, 56th Squadron at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. He was also Six-Sigma Black Belt awarded by Arizona State University.

John is survived by his daughter, Katherine Elaine Rayter of Chandler, AZ, parents, John and Joanne Rayter, sister, Melinda Rayter,aunt Regina Rayter, friend, Flo Bringas, all of Hobart, former wife, Brenda Morris of Chandler, AZ. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2008 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Stephen Loncar officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
