It is with deep regrets that the Wolfe family announces the passing of our mother Dorothy June Wolfe on Wednesday October 18, 2017 in Brandon, Florida. Dorothy, or June as she was known was 87 years old and had been in failing health for several months prior to her death. Her loving husband Donald Lee Wolfe preceded her in death in 2005. Dorothy and Don were married in Knox, Indiana on September 2, 1950.
Along with raising five children, Dorothy became a travel agent and she and dad took advantage of many cruise ship tours, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Don and Dorothy also followed their dream and retired to Florida where they relished touring and camping around Florida and the United States in their motor home for many years. They enjoyed taking the grandchildren with them on many occasions.
June and Don were members of the 1st Baptist Church of Homosassa, FL for many years; and also former members of the 1st Baptist Church of Hobart, IN.
She was a wonderful cook & chef and scoured many magazines and cookbooks for new recipes!
Dorothy is survived by her loving sister, Sandra (Jack) Caldwell, Bolivia, NC; son Jeffery (Alexis) Wolfe, Cedar Bluff, AL; daughter Janet (Chip) Gerlock, Baraboo, WI; daughter Carol (Scott) Reuther, Seffner, FL; son Jon (Rebecca) Wolfe, Hobart, IN; and son Stephen Wolfe, Brandon, FL. She was also survived by loving grandchildren; Daniel Wolfe; Jamie Wolfe; Brett Wolfe; Elizabeth Zachary; Christopher Zachary; Eric Reuther; Chelsi (Joseph) Pumilia; Nathan (Amy) Wolfe; and Katie (Christopher) Lawless; and her great grandchildren Sylvie Wolfe, Bennett Lawless and Indi June Wolfe.
