Shirley Carriedo, (nee Samples), age 83, of Hobart, IN., passed away peacefully at the VNA Hospice, surrounded by her family, on January 11, 2014. She was a proud supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Carriedo; sister-in-law Margaret Brooks and brother-in-law, Fred Brooks. Her survivors include her daughter, Carol (Charles) Ragon; granddaughter, Jessica Ragon; sisters, Margaret (Donald) Fletcher of Illinois; Ruth (Daniel) Danko of California; brother-in-law, Robert (Yvonne) Carriedo; sister-in-law, Gloria (Gene) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 17 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. www.burnsfuneral.com
