OBITUARY

Zitz, Carl H. 81 of Demotte passed away on December 10, 2010. Born on May 11, 1929 in Hobart, In to the late John and Matilda (Buna) Zitz. Carl Then Married Catherine Sarko In 1954 at St. Joseph Church in Gary, Indiana, From this union came one loving son.

He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean war, and Retired from Inland Steel as a Millright. He was a member of the DeMotte American Legion Post 440, and enjoyed hunting and he was a car enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Survived by; Loving Wife Catherine (Sarko) Zitz of DeMotte, Son; Eric (Karen) of NV, Sister; Magdalena DeFrance of Valparaiso, Sister in Law; Cecile (Tom) Wilbourne of DeMotte, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday December 13, 2010 at 11 am at Frazier Funeral Home 621 S. Halleck DeMotte, In 46310. with Monsignor Robert Sell Officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of services at 11am on Monday December 13, 2010. A Chapel service will be Monday at 2:30pm at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, In. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jasper County Hospice. Carl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. www.frazierfuneralhome.net.
