MARGARET C. KNIES
Age 84, of Argos, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at home. Margaret was a former longtime Gary resident and former member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Gary. At St. Mark's she was very active in the Archconfraternity and various activities including the bingo and bake sales to support the Church. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her entire family.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Beth (John) Davis of Argos, IN, Nancy Knies of Hobart, son, David (Patricia) Knies of Chesterton, IN, 8 grandchildren: Bill, Jeremy, Bridget, John, Sarah, Chrissy, Robert and Catherine, 13 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Andrea Knies of Valparaiso. Her husband, Ralph E. Knies and son, Jim Knies, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 beginning with 9:15 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, and then proceeding to St. Mark Catholic Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am with Rev. Pat Gaza celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm with a wake service at 4:15 pm with Fr. Roy Beeching at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 219-942-2109 or online at www.ReesFuneralHomes.com.
