Lucille Detterline Obituary

LUCILLE G. DETTERLINE HAMMOND, IN Lucille G. Detterline, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2016. Born to Ernest and Myrtle Sitzenstock, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Al (Nora) Detterline, Ron Detterline, and Debbie (Terry) Schuster; grandchildren: Pat McBride, Lori (Rick) Berdine, AJ (Stephanie) Detterline, Lisa (Jake) Cory, Brian Schuster (Tracy), Jennifer (Matt) Havlin, David (Shey) Detterline, Megan Lambert, Michael Schuster, and Katelyn Schuster (John); 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin Detterline, daughter, Kathryn McBride, siblings, Florence, Raymond, Alice, and Shirley; and great- granddaughter, Elise Detterline.

Lucille enjoyed baking her famous fudge and sweets, fishing, watching sports, and sharing her memorable and comical stories with family.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Lucille's life on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster. Visitation will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4th at Burns Kish with mass to follow at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN.
