Joseph John Doyen, 93 of Westville, passed away June 16, 2014. He was born April 27, 1921 in Chicago. IL. the son of Joseph Jerome and Carrie (Farmer) Doyen. Joe was a Pilot in WWII with the US Army Air Corp. He was a brick mason with Union Local #6 of Indiana and was Secretary/Treasurer for 8 years. He was also a member of Central Christian Church in Valparaiso and the Hobart Masonic Lodge.

On March 17, 1943 at the Hobart Christian Church, he married Marylou Johnston, who survives in Westville. Also surviving are his children, Renee Doyen, of Valparaiso, Joseph (Annette) Doyen of Valparaiso, John Doyen of San Antonio, TX, Janette (Art) Flynn of Valparaiso, Cathy Yanke of Pines, IN., Denise (Jerry) Trujillo of LaPorte, Robin (Ken) Doyen-Reschke of Baroda, MI., James (Lisa) Doyen of Mooresville, IN. and Carrie Nolan of Bristol, IN., 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cherie Ann Doyen, 2 grandsons David and Kristopher Trujillo, daughter-in-law Gloria Doyen, and son-in-law Thomas Nolan.
