Eleanor Bodin - Hobart, IN

Eleanor Bodin, 83, of Hobart, IN passed away at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart on Tuesday, April 6, 1999. She was a Hobart resident for over 76 years (since 1923).

She is survived by sister-in-law, Mildred O. Bodin of Hobart, IN; two cousins, Marian Pence of Hobart and Elaine Tromble of Valrico, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ragner and Hilma Bodin, and brother, Richard Bodin.

Services will be held Friday, April 9, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, corner of Route 51 and 7th Street, Hobart, IN. Rev. Arthur N. Wilkerson officiating. Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p. m.

Eleanor was a member of the Deep River Church of Christ, the Deep River Senior Saints and the AARP. She retired from U.S. Steel Corporation with 35 years of service.
