Chris Kramer - Class Of 1934

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, DECEMBER 10, 2008:
 
Chris C. Kramer Jr., age 94 of Hobart, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008. Chris had been a life long Hobart resident and was a retired Hobart Firefighter with 20 years of service. Chris was a charter member of the International Firefighter Local #1641 and was a member of the Indiana Firefighters Association. He also retired after many years of service from Hobart School City as a Mechanic. Chris was a School Bus owner and Driver. He was a long time member of Augustana Lutheran Church.
 
Chris is survived by his wife, Caryl; 1 daughter, Carol Sohn, of Hobart IN; 2 grandchildren, Brent (Kim) Burris & Todd (Pam) Burris, both of Indianapolis; great granddaughter; Nicole Burris; 2 stepdaughters, Pam Connor, KY; Melissa (Richard) Craig, CA; 3 step-grandchildren, Bill Connor (Leanne), Katie & Amy Embry; also 3 step-great grandchildren, Ryland, Brinley and Holden Conner; 1 brother, Howard Kramer, Hobart; numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Proceded in death by his first wife Clara. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart.
