Jessie May Ramsey, age 89, of Portage, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005.

She was formerly employed by Summerfield GMC Truck Co., in Gary and Gary Paint & Wallpaper. She also served as Secretary of the Gary Moose Lodge and was a member of Hobart VFW Lodge 5365 Auxiliary.

Jessie was preceded in death by her brothers: George and Robert Schnabel. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Ramsey of Portage; sister, Betty Kis of Crown Point and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E.7th Street, Hobart, IN with Rev. Jeffrey Carter, officiating. Entombment at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (time of service) at Burns Funeral Home, Hobart.
