Edith L. Wesley, age 98 of Portage, formerly of Ross Township, passed away peacefully January 31, 2016. Edith was a graduate of Merrillville High School, Class of 35, and she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Aid Society and Sentry Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years- Al; infant daughter- Sharon; sister- Velma Carter. Edith is survived by her children- Karen (Bill) Day and Jack (Sylvia) Wesley; 2 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends at Miller’s Assisted Living in Portage.

Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Hobart.
