YOUTH DROPS DEAD AFTER PRACTICING

{SPECIAL TO THE TIMES} -- HOBART, Ind., Jan. 8--Following a strenuous basketball practice session in the Roosevelt gym here last night, John "Jack" Trester, 19, dropped dead from a heart attack.

The youth, a forward on the Hobart A. C. quintet, left the playing court at 9 o'clock to join other members of the squad when stricken in the shower room.

Fellow players summoned Deputy Coroner T. M. Frederick, of this city, who pronounced the youth dead and ordered his body removed to Rees morgue.

Trester was graduated from Hobart High school with the class of 1934. Prior to his demise he was unemployed. His father, Ross Trester, is a former member of the local school board.

Besides the parents, the deceased is survived by a brother, Richard, and two sisters, Jean and Ruth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the family home on Devonshire street with Rev. J. Brown of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial cemetery here. Members of the 1934 class will act as regular and honorary pall bearers.
