Lloyd Wilson - Class Of 1934

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY JENNIFER EASTWOOD DAVIS, CLASS OF 1962:

Lloyd W. Wilson, 81 of Hobart, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 1,
1997. Mr. Wilson had been a lifelong Hobart area resident. He reitred from
Inland Steel in 1965 with 32-1/2 years of service and was the owner/operator of
Bowman's Landing from 1962 to 1975; a 50 year member of the M.L. McClelland
Lodge #357 F & AM; first president of the Hobart Little League; former member
of the Izaak Walton League, Phi Delts and the Hobart F.O.P.; member of the
First United Methodist Church of Hobart.
 
Preceded in death by son, Billy in 1953; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors: wife, Lois; three children, Kenneth (Jean) Wilson of Michigan City,
Lynne (Evan) Hippie and Laura (Dale) Hensley, both of Hobart; eight
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Whisler of Haines
City, Florida.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to Raphaels Place Inc. Adult Day Care or
the First United Methodist Church of Hobart. Masonic Lodge Service Sunday at
7:00 p.m. Funeral services Moday, January 6, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. from the Rees
Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Rev. William Kaster officiating.
Burial, Hobart Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2 to 9 p.m. at the Rees Funeral
Home, Hobart Chapel.
