Josephine A. Moench (nee Parker), age 91, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, while at St. Anthony Hospital. Born September 5, 1915 in Hobart, IN, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Charlotte (nee Yager) Parker. Josephine attended Trinity Lutheran Church of Hobart. A proud homemaker, she also enjoyed gardening and working on the family farm. She will be missed by many and her memory cherished.

Surviving is her son, Richard (Patricia) Moench; grandchildren: Jennifer Moench and Jonathan Moench; brother-in-law, Oakley (Ruth) Moench; many wonderful nieces and nephews; her loving extended family of Tim (Ruth) Andrews and Doyle Martin. Waiting to greet her in heaven is her husband of 55 years, Ernest Moench; son, William Moench, and her sisters, Myrtle Conley and Helen Redar.

The family invites relatives and friends to visit in the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Pastor Gary Nagy. She will then be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Memorial gifts in Josephine's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1551 E. 85th Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410, or to a charity of one's choice.
