He lived in Littleton, Halifax, North Carolina, United States in 1935 and Sierra Vista, Cochise, Arizona, United States for about 7 years. He died on 3 May 2012, in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States, at the age of 99, and was buried in Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax County, Virginia, United States.
