Kevin Patrick Galka, 47 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024. He was born March 13, 1977 in Hobart, Indiana the son of Mark and Shirley (Belsha) Galka. Kevin worked at Cleveland Cliffs for 27 years and was a member of USW Local 6787.S

urviving are his daughters, Emily (Jake Osburn) Galka and Kaile (Chris Newhard) Galka, his father Mark Gregory (Maria) Galka, girlfriend Dalia Ortiz and her daughters Madison, Marissa and Makenzie, brothers, Chris (Pam) Galka and Eric (Amanda) Galka, sisters, Carrie (Josh) Kietzman, Kelly (Jeff) Zemburski and Katie (Vincent) Rinas, and former spouse Stefanie Burrell.

Preceding him in death is his mother Shirley Jo (Matt) Murphy and his grandparents Tadeusz and Alice Galka and William “Doc” and Ruth Belsha. Also surviving are 15 nieces and nephews. Kevin was a staunch liberal, an avid White Sox fan and a devoted father.
