Mary Catherine Collins, age 96, of Mokena, IL and formerly of Hobart passed away August 16, 2017 in her home with her family at her side. Mary was born January 4, 1921 in Rushville, Indiana to the late James and Jane (McGrath) Duffy. Mary retired as a teacher from the Hobart School System. She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association. Mary served as a WAC during WWII.
Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Maura and devoted son-in-law Terry Ciszek of Mokena, IL; her son, Kevin (Debbie) Collins of Katy, TX; four grandchildren, Molly Ciszek, Meg Ciszek, Mandy (TJ) Davis and Catherine Collins; two great grandchildren, Morgan and Jack; her sister, Margaret Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Wayne, and several brothers and sisters.
Private services were conducted with the assistance of Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
