Meghan Johnston - Class Of 2001

OBITUARY FROM BURNS FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE:

Meghan Coleen Johnston 37 of Portage, formally of Hobart passed away on May 9, 2019. Meghan graduated from Hobart High School in 2001 and continued her education at Sawyer College. She was employed as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Gasparis until 2007 when she became a full time mother of which she was very proud. Meghan was a loving mother, a caring daughter, a devoted aunt and a loyal friend. Free spirited and non-judgmental Meghan will be missed more than she could ever imagine.

Moonshine, as her mother called her, was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mary (Mimi) and George Johnston, maternal grandparents, John Vuko and Madeline Crowe, paternal great-grandmother, Emelia Apolzan, maternal aunt, Arlene Mandich, maternal uncle, Joel Vuko and brother Jacob Johnston. Meghan is survived by her best friend and companion of 16 years, Greg Kaletta, 3 beautiful daughters, Emmaly Holtzman, Abigail and Ashley Kaletta, her father, Rodney (Midnight) Johnston, her mother, Coleen Johnston, 1 brother, Jason (Tina) Johnston, 3 sisters, Tracey (Matthew) Mark, Jennifer (Rick) Eber and Rachel Johnston, 9 nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation for Meghan will be held Tuesday May 14, 2019 from 3-7pm at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:00am at Burns Funeral Home. Internment at Evergreen Memorial Park 3815 W 39th Ave Hobart, Indiana.www.burnsfuneral.com
