Sharon Lou (Wojtysiak) Ward, age 76 of Porter, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in . She was born on June 22, 1944 in Gary, IN to Walter and Dorothy (Kerns) Wojtysiak.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years, James F. Ward Sr.; daughters, Kristene (Tony) Childress, Denise Shepard and Denora Daniel; sons, James F. (Sandy) Ward Jr., Ronnie (Nicole) Ward, Keith (Tamara) Ward and James M. (Sarah) Ward; sisters, Yvonne Paradis and Sheila Niceworker; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Wojtysiak; mother, Dorothy Wojtsiak; brothers, Ronald, James and Daniel Wojtysiak; sisters, Marlene Green and Gerrie Lynn Fodrill.

Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church in New Chicago, IN. She was a newspaper carrier for The Chesterton Tribune and The Times Newspaper for many years. Sharon was always caring for everyone else and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304 with Pastor Don Good officiating. Burial to take place at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 8:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
