Cynthia Kaye Henson (nee Carpenter), age 38 of Hobart passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011. She was born in Gary, Indiana on February 4, 1973. She will be remembered by her family as a loving daughter, mother, and sister.

She is survived by her father, Robert R. (Carol) Carpenter of Valparaiso, IN; her mother, Susan F. Carpenter (nee Szacka) of Hobart, IN; 2 sons, Jordan Rand Henson of Portage, IN; Samuel Sebastian Henson of Hobart, IN; 1 daughter, Paige Alexis Henson of Portage, IN; 1 brother, Robert Douglas (Deana) Carpenter of Hobart, IN; twin sister, Christine F. (Carter Walker) Carpenter of Cedar Lake formerly of Hobart, IN, grandfather, George Szacka of Hobart, IN; 3 nephews, Jacob Johnson of Valparaiso, IN; Randy Johnson of Cedar Lake, IN; Tristan Walker of Cedar Lake, IN.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Jason Carpenter, grandparents, Violet Wilfong, Robert and Clara Carpenter Sr.

In lieu of flowers monetary donations in Cynthia’s honor may be made to the family.

Funeral services are Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Visitation is Monday, May 9, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Cremation will follow with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation service.
