Stanley (Stas') Jarosz III - Class Of 2012

OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE:

Stas’ Jarosz, loving son of Stan and Patty Jarosz, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2021.  Stas’ was a loving and gentle soul who would do anything for a person in need whether friend, family, or stranger.  Stas’ enjoyed the great outdoors while fishing, hunting, camping, or canoeing.  He enjoyed country line dancing down at DW’s Country Junction in Lowell.  He was a lifelong member of Assumption BVM Parish in New Chicago, Indiana, and the Izaak Walton League of America.  While growing up he participated in the Indiana Division Izaak Walton Youth camp as a camper, junior counselor, instructor, and senior counselor.  He loved to DJ the dances at the camp.  During his lifetime he received the 2011 Outdoor America’s Future Award from the Izaak Walton League recognizing a youth member with outstanding qualities of character, dedication, and volunteer leadership and for the distinguished status as a future League Member.  In 2017 Stas’ received the Judge John W. Tobin Chapter Volunteer Appreciation Award for his work with the Spring Lake Chapter Izaak Walton.  While a member of the Spring Lake Chapter, Stas’ was Vice President and chaired the Grounds Committee.

Through all of this, Stas’ was a magnet for kids.  Whether at the Youth Camp, Spring Lake or a family gathering, kids found their way to Stas’ to play or just hang out.  He was a good friend who was willing to listen to anyone who needed a friend.  Stas’ enjoyed attending family gatherings playing card and other games.
