OBITUARY FROM THE STAR / THE TIMES (PORT ST. JOE, FL) WEBSITE:
James Michael Worthington, of Port St. Joe, Florida, age 72, died December 15, 2020. Jim was the oldest of four children who grew up in a loving family in Hobart, Indiana.
He is survived by siblings Carol Schickel, Nancy Lashenik, and Thomas Worthington, who all reside in Indiana. Jim lost track of his past relationships so we are not able to name many he loved, but he was cared for by many, especially his person.
He graduated from Ball State University and pursued a varied career in jewelry, lighting, plumbing, mortgages, construction, and finally in property management. Jim's first three vehicles were a motorcycle and two sports cars. One could tell he was unconventional even then but a person who would enjoy life. He lived around the US and rode his bike from California to Florida in a two year journey filled with adventure. Jim loved sharing experiences and was always willing to engage in lively and witty conversation. He enjoyed being outdoors, all things Chicago Cubs (especially 2016), "as sure as God made green apples!", and life itself.
