Robert A. “Papa” Koval, age 75, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022. He was a retired principal and teacher at Henry Evans, Ridgeview and Purdue IUN. Robert was an avid golfer and a huge Notre Dame fan. He loved to help those in need. Robert will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 35 years-Gwen “Scotty”; two stepsons-Robert (Dana) Golden and Richard (Katie) Golden; three granddaughters-Hannah, Emily, and Lucy Golden.

Memorial visitation for Robert will be Friday, August 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m, at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart, Fr. Thomas Mischler officiating. Notre Dame, Fighting Irish attire requested. www.burnsfuneral.com.
