Carl Anthony Perrotta peacefully passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Perrotta (Milne); and his two sisters, Camille Teschel of Pensacola, FL and Elizabeth Ford of Upper St. Clair, PA. He is survived by children, John (Margaret) Perrotta of Redondo Beach, CA, Donna (Jeffrey) Black of Yorba Linda, CA, and Robert (Laura) Milne of Rosenberg, TX; grandchildren, James and Jack Perrotta; sister, Judy (Jack) Chidsey of Crown Point, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carl was born on October 28, 1931 in Gary, IN to the late James and Mary Perrotta, and was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in 1949. He went on to earn his BS from Purdue University in Pharmacy in 1957 and practiced for over 40 years as a pharmacist. He was also a partner in Turkey Creek Pharmacy, located in Merrillville, IN. He went on to earn an MA from Purdue University Calumet and taught biology at Hobart High School. Carl was a member of St. Bridget Church in Hobart, IN and was enlisted in the Marine Corps. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter Northwest Office in Merrillville.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, with Reverend Dominic Bertino officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
