Charlotte Evette Butler
June 26, 1949 ~ March 28, 2023

Charlotte Evette Butler, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2023.

Charlotte was born on June 26th, 1949, in Corinth, MS, to Eugene and Helen Rushing. She graduated from Hobart High School in 1967. She married Donald C. Treadway, Jr. in 1967, with whom she had two daughters; Patrice and Tiffany; later divorced. In September of 1977 she married Darrell W. Butler, and in 1979, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Charlotte attended Westminster College where she got her degree in finance. She worked for American Express several years, as well as Fidelity Investments for over 10 years. She then retired to take care of her grandbabies and loved being their Ma'am. She loved to play golf, was very social and loved entertaining, traveling, and being surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed playing Bonco, with her friends and meeting the "lunch bunch" for their monthly lunches. She will be significantly missed and remembered fondly as a wife, mother, the best Ma'am, and friend.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Darrell W. Butler; her two daughters, Patrice Ann (Jeff) Snead, of Nashville, TN; and Tiffany Lynn (Todd) Sisneros, of Sandy, UT; her Grandchildren, Hailey Suzanne Snead; Jordan Gregory Snead; Jeffrey Glenn Snead Jr.; Samantha Michel (Jack) Grimaudo; Taylor Maelynn (Zach) Heiner; McKinan Jay Little (Ben Van Hoose); Nolan Trey Sisneros; and Parker Quade Sisneros; and her 11 Great Grandchildren, Anastin Paige Snead, Kingston Cruz Snead, Charlotte Grace Snead, Keeley Marie Wintjen; Karter Greyson Snead; EmJ Edwards; Ava Gabriella Grimaudo; Toni Michel Grimaudo; Mila Sherry Grimaudo; Savy Maria Grimaudo; and Axel Ridge Heiner. She is also survived by her two sisters, Barbara Lynn Perkins, of Nashville, TN; and Michelle Renee Rushing (Tina Yakim) of Nashville, TN; her sister-in-law, DiAnne Butler (Bob Kraucunas) of Indianapolis, IN; and brother-in-law, Mark (Laurie) Butler, of Mystic, CT; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her lifelong friends, George (Cathy) Murray and Rich (Pat) Field. She is preceded in death by her parents; Eugene and Helen Rushing of Hobart, IN; her stepfather Jimmy Crowe, of Hobart, IN; her brother Thomas Harold Rushing, of Hobart, IN; her sister Fonda Jean Broadaway, of Hobart, IN and her nephew Brian Thomas Rushing, of Hobart IN.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, April 13th, 2023, at Lone Peak Park (Inside Pavilion) located at 10140 S. 700 E., Sandy Utah. All are welcome to attend and help celebrate Charlotte's life. Charlotte will be laid to rest in Corinth, MS, beside her parents and her sister Fonda. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, as well as the Huntsman Hospice Team and the Legacy for Life Team, for their dedicated service to all of their patients. In lieu of Flowers, the family and Charlotte ask that you make a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and/or Utah Down Syndrome Foundation, both of which are dear to her heart.
