M. Eloise Engelman Kraning (Teacher)

OBITUARY FROM GRANDSTAFF-HENTGEN FUNERAL SERVICE (WABASH, IN) WEBSITE:

M. Eloise Kraning, 90, formerly of 840 Crosspointe, Wabash, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 12:20pm at Millers Merry Manor West in Wabash. She was born September 28, 1914 in Wabash County to Clarence and Pearl Faye Brothers Engelman. On August 24, 1940, she married Russell W. Kraning in Peru, Indiana; he died September 15, 1999. Mrs. Kraning was a 1932 graduate of Chili High School and attended Manchester College 2 years. She was a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Singing Engelman Sisters musical group that sang in area churches. Eloise taught elementary school at Hobart, Indiana for 11 years and also gave private music lessions. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was an avid bridge player and golfer. Eloise moved back to Wabash in 1989 from Northbrook, Illinois.

She is survived by her son, Gary Lee Kraning of Wabash; her two sisters, Dorothy Sheridan of Largo, Floria and Reba Mullins of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 10:00am. Pastor Don Mitchell will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday. Preferred memorial is Wabash Alliance Church.
