Michael (Mike) Zoladz

OBITUARY FROM POST TRIBUNE, MAY 16, 2006:

MICHAEL ANTHONY ZOLADZ Hobart, Indiana Age 48, a lifetime Hobart resident, passed away at home on Monday, May 8, 2006. Michael was a graduate of River Forest High School, Class of 1976. He received his B.S. in Industrial Arts from Ball State University in 1980 and his Masters from IUN. He received his State Certification in Industrial Technology and most recently received his vocational license in furniture and cabinet making. He began teaching Industrial Technology at Hobart High School in the fall of 1980 where he has taught ever since. The school, as well as the entire Hobart community, has appreciated Michael's talents in woodworking. Michael loved serving the Lord through his church and community activities.

His parents, Edmund and Evelyn Zoladz, preceded Michael in death. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Randa F. Zoladz of Hobart; twin sons, Christopher and Shaun Zoladz of Hobart; sister, Michele (Everett) Cleveland of Valparaiso; mother and father-in-law, Paul and Melva Spicer of Evansville; sisters-in-law, Paula (John) Clayton of WA and Sandy (Kurt) Koenig of Evansville; nieces and nephews, Paul, Anthony, Lauren, Lisa, Sean, Scott, Emily, Elizabeth, Audrey and Harrison.

A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hobart High School Auditorium, 36 E. 8th St., Hobart, Rev. Samuel Abbott, officiating. Cremation will precede the memorial visitation and funeral service. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, May 17th from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hobart Education Foundation to fund the Michael A. Zoladz Scholarship.
