In Memory

Rick Easton - Class Of 1974

OBITUARY INFORMATION AND PICTURES PROVIDED BY RICK'S WIFE,
MARGARET "PEGGY" KANNOWSKI, HHS CLASS OF 1979:

Rick passed on February 14, 2022. He had been declining for a few years, but continued to work for the Elkhart County Engineering Department. He built roads and bridges. It can be bittersweet as I drive across bridges that were "his" projects.

He was always very clear about not wanting a funeral, or even letting people know that he had passed. We did have a small service at a local Catholic Church. He was cremated and we will release him at various locations.

Rick and I were married 32 years. We had one son, who we named Richard Carlisle Easton III. He is 29 and the image of his father (little Rick). I had a son from a previous marriage who Rick loved and cared for like he was his own.

He hunted, and fished. He watched the most awful "B" action movies you can imagine.😀

He had a rescue dog. This dog is a hound mix and the two of them were fiercely devoted to each other. That was his "little dog friend".
