Brian Frank - Class Of 1992

OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE:

C. Brian Frank, age 51, of Valparaiso passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born on August 5, 1973, in East Chicago to the late Joseph and Marsha Frank. As a teenager, Brian had dreams of joining the Unites States Marine Corps and then becoming an Indiana State Trooper. He was full of life and loved playing guitar. In 1989, he sustained a traumatic brain injury in a car accident which changed the trajectory of his life. He loved music and was especially fond of 80’s rock, the Beatles, and the Eagles. He was a simple person full of love and kindness and he always had a smile on his face despite his many challenges. 

He is survived by his sisters, Catherine (Tim) Fulton, Wanda (Tom) Mathis, Angela (Frankie) Monahan; nieces and nephews, Tommy (Kayla) Mathis, Ryan (Rachel) Vance, Brittany Mathis, Chrissy Mathis, Timothy Fulton, Haley (Kerigan Wise) Yanez, Victoria (Noah Finch) Monahan, Noah (Hailey Mathas) Monahan; and 11 great nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marsha Frank; brother, Joseph B. Frank; and great nephew, Damon Mathis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Heart to Heart Hospice, 402 Wall Street, Valparaiso, IN 46383.

A memorial service for Brian will take place at 11:00 am Saturday April 26, 2025, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. To honor Brian and his love of music, the family asks that you wear your favorite band T-shirt to his services.
