Obituary for Judith A. Beck
Judith A. Beck, 81, of Rochester, Indiana formerly of Danville, Kentucky passed surrounded by family at 10:34 am, Sunday, August 10, 2025 at her residence.
Born May 23, 1944, in Gary, Indiana, Judith was raised by her parents Bud M. and Imogene (VanLue) Pavese. She grew up in the northwest corner of the state and graduated from Hobart High School in 1962. The following year, she married John Beck, he passed in October 1994.
Judith found joy in the simple pleasures of life like cross stitching, tending to her garden, caring for her cats and dogs, and spending treasured time with her grandchildren. A proud accomplishment in Judith’s life was her career with Tupperware, where she rose to the rank of manager and thrived as a successful saleswoman for over a decade.
She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church near Athens, Indiana, and enjoyed antiquing throughout the area. Judith was known to be an exceptional cook.
She is survived by her daughters Jeannie Sebastian of Rochester and Bethany Beck of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; grandchildren Erik Ekstrom, Kaden Sebastian, Kori Sebastian, Khristian Sebastian, Aaron Calhoun, and Scottie Calhoun; and 5 Great Grandchildren; sisters Toni Didonna and Peggy Irzyk.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Max Pavese, Jerry Pavese, Kenny Karn, and a sister Janet Magdos.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 - 3 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church 3516 N. 650 E. Rochester, Indiana a with a time of sharing taking place at 2:30 pm.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
