OBITUARY FROM DEE FUNERAL HOME (CONCORD, MA) WEBSITE:

Educator and business leader Linda (Prusiecki) Senne, of Concord, passed away on October 2, 2023 after a brief illness.

She was born May 17, 1943 in Gary, Indiana and traveled with her mother, Juanita (Weiss) Prusiecki, across the country the last two years of WWII to be with her father, Edward Prusiecki, a Navy Pharmacist Mate assigned to various Navy Hospitals.

After WWII, she grew up in Hobart, Indiana where the corn belt meets the industry of the Gary steel mills. She attended school within the Hobart School System which provided an excellent environment for an individual like Linda who possessed an insatiable desire to learn and excel in all her scholastic endeavors. After graduating as Valedictorian in 1961 she carried on her academic career at Stanford University. In the eight years that she was at Stanford she earned a bachelor, a masters and two doctoral degrees while garnering a letter on the Stanford Varsity swimming team. After her time at Stanford, she taught at various colleges, including Colorado College, Mount Holyoke, MIT and Bentley University. During this time she also earned an MBA degree from MIT which launched her career change to that of an innovative marketeer within the information Technology (IT) industry with companies such as Digital Equipment (DEC) and IBM. She completed her career as an IT business professor at Bentley University, teaching for 8 years. Her love for teaching was boundless and her business experience contributed greatly to time in the classroom.

She met the love of her life, Ken Senne, an engineering student, while at Stanford. Ken was in the ROTC program and upon graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF. They were married for 59 years and lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado for several years and then moved to Lexington and then Concord, Massachusetts where they have been for the last 51 years. Linda and Ken traveled around the world camping, kayaking, and hiking in many far flung regions such Costa Rica, Galapagos, Artic Circle, Europe and the various Polynesian Islands. Linda loved their get away cabin in Maine, on the Atlantic coast, where she and Ken would host gatherings for friends, parents, brother and sister, nieces and nephews. Seasons were filled with truly fun events like grilling cod and lobster, fishing, observing the northern lights and taking boat rides on the “Linda Lou”. All will be remembered forever. She was greatly loved.

She was predeceased by her parents, and survived by her husband, Ken, brother David Prusiecki and wife Cynthia, niece Elizabeth Prusiecki, nephew Edward Prusiecki and his wife Mariana, sister Joanne (Prusiecki) Blow and husband Al, and nephews Andre and Darien Blow.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Monday, October 16th from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11 am in the Duvall Chapel at Newbury Court, 80 Deaconess Road, Concord. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to WGBH or to the National Wildlife Federation.
