Bruce Wayne Eden passed away January 26, 2024 at the age of 71 years. Born April 28, 1952 to Frank and Cornelia (Oprish) Eden. Formerly of Hobart, Indiana, Bruce lived in DeMotte, Indiana since 1984. A graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1970. He worked and officially retired from Lamar Outdoor Advertising (Formerly known as State Outdoor and Whiteco) after 44 years of service in 2015.  

In 1979 Bruce and Kathy (Kuckuck) began their journey and married on June 26, 1982. They began their family in 1984 with daughter Kyleen and 1986 with son Frank. They share 3 grandchildren Theodore, Augustus, and Margaret Nolan. 

Bruce was very involved and dedicated many hours to DeMotte Little League and umpiring for Districts 1 & 2. His highlight was umpiring a Big League Softball World Series in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Corky, brothers-in law John Prince and Jack Kuckuck.

Bruce is survived by his loving Wife Kathy of 41 years. Daughter Kyleen (Morgan) Nolan; Son Frank Eden; Grandchildren Theo, Auggie, and Maggie Nolan; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law John and Marilyn Kuckuck; Sisters Kim Prince and Betty (Herb) Rueth, Sister-in-law Pat (Mike) Bridegroom; Brother-in-law Larry (Annie) Kuckuck; many nieces and nephews; dear friends; and other family members.

Visitation for Bruce will be Friday February 2, 2024 from 4-8 pm at the Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 pm at the Funeral Home. A graveside Funeral Service will be held in Buswell Cemetery in Kentland, Indiana at noon on Saturday February 3, 2024.
