Theresa Tharp age 56 of Portage passed away Tuesday March 10, 2009. She was born on December 3, 1952. Theresa was a home maker who loved to cook, sew and was an avid antique collector. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Ken of Portage; daughter, Kari (Robert) Espinoza, of Portage; son, Kenneth Jacob Tharp of Portage; grandson, Robert; father, Wilmer; and stepmother, Gertrude Smith of Munster; sisters: Deborah (Bob) Wasiuta of Highland and Valerie Reyome of Griffith; stepsisters: Sandra (Norman) Groet of Demotte, Ruthann (Roy) Jonkman of Wheatfield and Darlene (John) Murga of Wheatfield; and step brother, Terry (Jeanette) Jennings of Highland. Theresa was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Alan Jennings.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home ? Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial at McCool Cemetery in Portage.
