Marilyn Cowsert (Wilson) - Class Of 1967

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, SEPTEMBER 4, 2011:

Wilson, Marilyn Lou (nee Cowsert), age 62, of Portage, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Marilyn was born January 13, 1949 in Gary, Indiana and graduated from Hobart High School in 1967. She had been employed by the School City of Hobart for 32 years.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Fred Coleman, Jr., CaSandra Sutton, fiance & companion, Thomas Maxwell, Sr., stepchildren: Thomas Maxwell, Jr., Tammy Galec, Donald Maxwell, sisters: Susan (Donald) Millender, Sandra (Randall) Cooper, 11 grandchildren: Ronnie Sutton, Nathaniel Coleman, Sandra Reed, Tyler Coleman, Dustin Sutton, Breanna Havlin, Mary Lou Sutton, Katelyn & Jessica Galec, Ethan & Angel Maxwell, 4 nephews: Thomas (Debbie) Millender, Donald (Tammy) Millender, Scott Millender and Danny Cooper, 9 great nephews and 2 great nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Elvis E. Cowsert, mother Darlene M. (nee Clemens) Cowsert, sister, Dixie Cowsert and brother, Thomas Cowsert.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the family would be appreciated. Memorial services for Marilyn will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Ryan McDowell officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Following cremation her cremated remains will be taken to Eldorado, Illinois for burial.
