OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, APRIL 30, 2010:

Kathy Wisniewski, age 61 of Schererville, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Kym Ann (Mark) Loyd; mother, Patricia Ann Hess; sister, Patricia Lynn Robb; aunt, Jan Lattig; uncles: Terry Wiggins and Richard Wiggins; cousins: Terri Jo Schrenk, Dorothy Wiggins, Susan Frayer and Bill Wiggins; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Joe Durham. Kathy was born on March 18, 1949 in Herrin, IL and has lived in Herrin and Lansing, IL, Hobart, Portage and Schererville, IN, and Phoenix, AZ.

She graduated from Alhambra High school in Phoenix, AZ, worked as a Promotions Specialist in the retail industry for many years and most recently at Bank One in Merrillville, IN. Her family gives heartfelt thanks and eternal gratitude to Kathy's dear friends: Jim O'Donnell, Debbie Greig and Cathy Mujadin for their unending love and support. And a special thank you to Dr. Keralavarma, the wonderful doctors and nurses at Munster Community Hospital Oncology Center and the Munster Cancer Treatment Center for their extraordinary care and kind words. Kathy's family urges everyone to help prevent this disease by getting an early colonoscopy. Kathy embodied Love, Kindness and Hope and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
