OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, OCTOBER 27, 2003:

DR. ROBERT A. MOON Age 70, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2003. He was born May 1,1933 in Atlantic, Iowa to Clarence Allen and Effie Dell (Berry) Moon and had lived in Hobart until moving to Valparaiso in 1973. He graduated from Hobart High School, Indiana University and the IU Dental School, and was a Dentist in Hobart form many years, later serving as the Assistant Dean of Allied Health at IUN. He was Past President of the Indiana Dental Association, former member of the Indiana Stare Board of Health, Past President of the Hobart Rotary, co-founder and coach of the Pop Warner in Hobart, recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award and a life-long Cubs fan. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force and was a member of Liberty Bible Church.

Dr. Moon is survived by his wife, Donna; 10 children, Robert (Sandi) Moon of Dyer, Mark (Shari) Moon of Monsey, NY, David Moon of Hobart, Kevin Moon of Bloomington, Jeff Moon of Lake Station, Susan (J. L.) Krawczyk of Sterling, VA, Marian Gallagher of Riverside, CA, Mark (Jovonia) Gallagher of Roseville, CA, Greg (Joy) Gallagher of Valparaiso and Brian Gallagher of Grand Isle, VT; one sister, Jackie Patterson of Geneva, IL; 17 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one son, Greg Moon and one grandson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM at Liberty Bible Church, Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-8 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, and on Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service at the Church.
