OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, AUGUST 25, 2009:

Mark F. Obermeyer, age 47, passed away, Sunday, August 23, 2009. Mark was a life long resident of Hobart. He was a graduate of Hobart High School class of 1980. Mark was a carpenter working for Anderson Brothers Construction and Indiana and Illinois Carpenter locals.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Tracy; two sons, Jeffery and Timothy Obermeyer, both of Hobart; mother, Jean Obermeyer; one brother, Joel "Scott" (Cheryl) Obermeyer of Hobart; one sister, Penny (Roy) Hayes of Ohio; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Marlene Green of Hobart; sister-in-law, Jackie (Craig) Dobis of Portage, brother-in-law, Rick (Pam) Green of Hobart. Preceded in death by his father Louis Obermeyer and two brothers, Randy and James Obermeyer.

Memorial contributions are preferred to the family to defer funeral expenses. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009, 3:00 p.m., at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3528 St. Joseph Place, Hobart.
