Alan O'Rourke - Class Of 1974

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, SEPTEMBER 16, 2003:

ALAN O'ROURKE Age 46 of Hobart, passed away at his home in Kentucky on Monday, September 15, 2003. He was a lifetime Hobart resident and had worked for Praxair. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1974 and was an involved worker in the Hobart Republican Party.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine O'Rourke (nee Trottier) of Hobart; special friend, Theresa Smolinski; 2 brothers, David (Teri) O'Rourke of Hobart, Tom O'Rourke of CA; 3 sisters, Patty (Allan) Wrona of Dyer, Peggy (Joe) Burcham of KY, Denise Rearick of Hobart; special cousins, Linda and Tom Stepp; 1 nephew, Zach Burcham; 4 nieces, Tracy (Zack) Villagomez, Sarah, Shelby, Kelsey Rearick; and loving aunts, uncle, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John "Bill" O'Rourke.

Funeral services are Friday, September 19, 2003, 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Dr., Hobart, with Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.
