OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, APRIL 30, 2004:

STEPHEN W. "STEVE" GUEST Age 54 years, of Lawton, MI, passed away Tuesday evening, April 27, 2004 at his residence following a long illness. Steve was born July 21, 1949, in Gary, IN, the son of Ramsey D. "Don" and Muriel T. (Nagel) Guest. On November 19, 2003 at his residence he married Marie Towers who survives. He graduated from Hobart High School, Class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1973. He was employed for 16 years as Assistant Plant Manager at Coachman Industries in Middlebury, IN. He was a member of American Legion Post #210 in Middlebury and Abate of MI. He enjoyed NAS Car racing and riding his Harley motorcycle.

Surviving besides his wife, Marie; are one daughter, Christine (A.J.) Gray of Galesburg, MI; one son, David Guest of Marcellus; three stepdaughters, Latesha Towers and Renee Baad, both of Three Rivers, MI and Brooke Kosloski of South Haven, MI; one stepson, Robert Baad of Grand Rapids, MI; three grandchildren; one sister, Cynthia (Tom) Hays of Marcellus; and several nieces and nephews. On nephew, Chad Hays, preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004 in the Mater Funeral Home, 52780 M-40 North, Marcellus, MI 49067, with Rev. Pamela Wood of the Elkhart Church of God, officiating. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Marcellus V.F.W. Post #4054. (269) 646-2144.
