David Eugene Johnson - Class Of 1956

OBITUARY FROM THE CAPITAL (ANNAPOLIS, MD) WEBSITE, MAY 26, 2013:

David E. Johnson died May 19. He was a professor of philosophy at the U.S. Naval Academy from 1971 through 2001. He was involved in developing the ethics course for second year midshipman. In addition, he taught some at St. John's College. In 2006, David and his wife, Lynada moved to Vantage House in Columbia. Since 1997, he lived with Parkinson's Disease and was active in several groups serving those with PD. David is survived by his wife, Lynada Johnson; two sons, Bengt and wife Sayuri of Seattle, WA and Tim and wife Mary Beth of Queenstown; and five grandchildren, Noah, Maja, Ella, Mackenzie and David. Memorial contributions may be made to williampennhouse.org, splcenter.org, childfund.org, parkinsonfoundation.org. A Memorial Gathering will be at held 7 p.m., Friday, May 31, at the Annapolis Friends Meeting, 351 Dubois Road in Annapolis.
