Thomas Downey (Tom) Moore - Class Of 1952

OBITUARY FROM TOLEDO BLADE, MARCH 5, 2007:

MOORE Thomas Downey Tom passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007, from pancreatic cancer at his home in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on January 1, 1935, in Gary, Indiana, to Paul and Verna Moore, both deceased. He graduated from Hobart High School, Purdue University and received his MBA from Miami University. He started his 51 year career in the steel industry at US Steel while attending college. He held managerial and executive positions at Armco Steel, Inland Steel, LTV Steel, Wheeling Pittsburg Steel and Cyclops Industries. He was president and CEO of Thermatex-Wahl at the time of his retirement in 2003.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Eschedor, of Fort Myers and Perrysburg, OH. He is also survived by his children, Debbie Harris (Jim) of Munster, IN, Brenda Moore of Buffalo Grove, IL, Richard Moore (Maria) of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Karen Feldman of San Rafael, CA, Robert Moore (Linda) of Darlington, PA and Traci Rahbarans (Kamran) of Las Vegas, NV and their mother, Patsy Moore of Las Vegas. He is survived by a brother, James Moore (Karen) of the Villages, FL and an aunt, Clara Ryan of West Lafayette, IN. He is also survived by stepchildren, Beth Wolford (Mike) of Woodville, OH, Jonathan Eschedor of Bonita Springs, FL and Sarah Eschedor of Washington, D.C.; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 11, in Fort Myers at Pelican Preserve, 10561 Veneta Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33913. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice, 25 Homestead Road, Unit 35, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936.
