OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, DECEMBER 18, 2009:

Ronald W. Morris, August 6, 1940 – December 2, 2009. Born in Gary, IN to Raymond and Kathryn Morris. Ron, as he was known to his friends and family, graduated from Hobart High School in 1958 and worked at US Steel and Dalton Heating and A/C, before moving to Modesto, CA in 1976. There he worked in HVAC at IC Refrigeration, and then owned and operated Air Comfort. Ron went on to work for Stanislaus County as a Maintenance Engineer, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed racing and RVing in his later life.

He is survived by Debbie, his wife of 31 years; his children, Cindy Davis of Jacksonville, FL, Ron Morris of Modesto, CA, Doug Morris of Anoka, MN and Kevin Morris of Brentwood, CA; seven grandchildren; sister, Donna Osbourne of AZ and brother, Douglas (Beverly nee VanLoon) Morris of FL.

A Memorial Service was held on December 7th at the First United Methodist Church in Modesto. Contributions may be made in Ron's name to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, CA 95326.
