I'll always remember Bob.  A year never passes that I don't think of him.  He didn't live far from our house and he and Dick Clark probably spent as many daytime hours at our house as at home.   Our house was 'a hangout' for a lot of our friends.  We would listen to music, snack, laugh.....Bob and Dick would often spend the night with my brother Ben.  He was close to my parents too.  I remember one time he had worn a new pair of shoes did something to them (Idon't remember what).   I remember one time he told my dad that his dad was going to 'kill' him for ruining his new shoes and dad gave him the money to go buy another pair (lol).   Mother would drive us to school on most  mornings and he would ride with us.  I'm not sure why, but on the morning he died, he hitchhiked to school instead.   It was almost like losing a brother.  I knew I would never forgrt him......so many memories.

Shirley, Loved reading your memories of Bob Jennings. I'm sure you do feel like he was a brother. I did not know all this. Thanks for sharing. I think any girl that ever met Bob had a crush on him too. He was so cute. And I don't think any of us will ever forget that horrible day. I sure won't. Thanks for sharing this with us. I remember your brother Ben also....
