Chuck Pangburn - Class Of 1959

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, DECEMBER 2, 2006:

CHARLES A. PANGBURN, SR. "Chuck" Hobart, Indiana Age 66, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2006 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Chuck was formerly of Sycamore, Illinois for 26 years and a longtime Hobart resident. He was a Hobart High School graduate in 1960 and retired Firefighter in Sycamore, IL with 26 years of service. Chuck was a member of the Sycamore Masonic Lodge #134 F.&A.M. and a longtime partner with his brother in Pangburn Brothers Golf Ball Retrieval Business. He was a member of Hobart Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #1152.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; daughter, Carole Pangburn of Irving, TX; sons, Chuck, Jr. (Lori) Pangburn of Brighton, TN, Jeffrey (Danelle) Geib of Hobart, David Pangburn of FL; 7 grandchildren: Ryan J. Geib, C.J. Pangburn, Ashley J. Geib, Sean Geib, Ryan Pangburn, Cody Pangburn, Sara Pangburn; mother, Margaret Pangburn of Hobart; and 2 brothers, Sanford (Carol) Pangburn of Valparaiso, David (Dorris) Pangburn of Portland, OR; sister, Patty (Chuck) Smith of Scottsdale, AZ; mother-in-law, Lois King of Hobart; many nieces and nephews. His father, Sanford, and son, Michael Pangburn preceded him in death.

Donations are preferred to the Hobart Humane Society. Funeral services will be Monday, December 4, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Alan Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Elks service and a 7:00 p.m. Masonic service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Phone: (219) 942-2109. www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
