Dennis Gonder - Class Of 1960

OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, MAY 18, 2011

Dennis J. Gonder, age 70, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at home. Dennis was a longtime Hobart area resident and also a resident of Ormond Beach, Florida for 30 years. He was a US Navy Veteran and former part owner of the Sherwood Club in Schererville for 6 years. He then moved to Florida where he owned and operated the Sweden House in Ormond Beach, Florida for 20 years. After retirement he moved back to Hobart.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, daughter, Shelley (Alvaro) Bridges of Orlando, FL, 2 grandchildren, Isaac & Claudette Bridges and sister, Kimberly (Jim) Capron of Valparaiso. His daughter, Sherri Gonder, preceded him in death.

There will be a memorial service Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
