Dwayne Breyfogle - Class Of 1950

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JULY 23, 2009:

Dwayne H. Breyfogle, age 79 of Hobart passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009. He was born on September 28, 1930 in Hobart, Indiana to the late Harry and Mabel Breyfogle. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1950 and played football and ran track for the Brickies. Dwayne served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was one of the founders of the Hobart Pop Warner Football Program and was also a past president of the Hobart Isaac Walton. He worked as a Mason for Local 1014 and U.S. Steel. Dwayne loved fishing, golf, and sports of all kinds.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Anne Breyfogle (nee Franko) of Hobart, IN; 2 sons, Allan (Sharon) Breyfogle of Winamac, IN; Bruce (Michelle) Breyfogle of Pulaski County, IN; 2 daughters, Patricia (Stephen) Billick of Austin, TX, Susan "Tutti" (Al) Tollackson of Muncy, PA; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Stephen; and 1 brother, Kenneth Breyfogle.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hickory Creek Nursing Home, 515 East 13th Street, Winamac, Indiana 46996. Cremation will take place at Kelly-Carroll Crematory. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Krull Building, 206 Main Street, Hobart with Rev. James Franko officiating.
