OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 1, 2007:

HELEN L. REDAR Hobart, Indiana Age 93, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007. She was a lifetime Hobart resident, and a member of St. Bridget Church and St. Anne's Confraternity. She was a Hobart High School graduate. Helen was formerly employed at Bear Brand Hosiery.

She is survived by: 1 son, James (Sally) Redar of Valparaiso, IN; 1 sister, Josephine (late Ernest) Moench of Crown Point, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Redar of South Bend, IN, Jason (Jama) Redar of Florence, KY; 1 great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; 2 sisters-in-law, Bernice (Donald) Ruge of Chesterton, IN, Elizabeth (late Francis) Redar of Lake Station, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Redar in 1971; 1 son, Harold Redar; 1 sister, Myrtle (William) Conley; 1 sister-in-law, Betty (Fred) Huettner.

Funeral services are Friday, February 2, 2007 at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Deacon Richard Huber officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2007 just prior to the funeral service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. www.rees funeralhomes.com.
